State of the Art Application Development

Client: National Flood Insurance Agency



The Challenge: Develop a comprehensive property and casualty application to replace the clientıs existing legacy system. The new application must be flexible, easy to modify, and use state-of-the-art technology.



The Solution: Project teams were formed and managed in three geographic locations. These teams consisted of information technology and client business representatives.
Sound project management practices were implemented using both project management and information technology systems development life cycles.

Software development proceeded through all life cycles phases including definition, analysis, design, development, testing, and implementation phases.

Open lines of communication were established between all client and development sites. Project status meetings were held a regularly scheduled basis. Issues and action logs were maintained until items were resolved. Design and acceptance walkthroughs were held on a scheduled basis.

The software application was thoroughly tested by both information technology and client-business users.
