Software Product Regulatory Enhancements
Client: National Flood Insurance Agency
The Challenge: Timely implementation and deployment of regulatory changes to the Federal Flood Insurance product.
The Solution: Assemble and maintain the correct information technology and business discipline staff to provide ongoing enhancement and support of this flood insurance software product.
Regulatory changes were frequently received with pre-determined implementation/deployment dates with little regard to the logistics of updating the software product and procedures. As regulatory changes were received they were prioritized with existing work, frequently causing an impact to lesser priority projects and redeployment of software developers.
The required regulatory requirements were administered through the standard software systems development life cycle processes, but often on a fast-track path. The software changes were defined, designed, constructed, tested and implemented.
Impact: The software product was successfully upgraded to include the required regulatory enhancements.
